On the Day of the Surgery
- Shower prior to arriving at Western Day Surgery
- Make sure you arrive on time
- Bring your Medicare card, DVA card if applicable, as well as your private health insurance card or details with you
- Do not wear makeup, nail polish or any jewellery (wedding ring acceptable)
- Wear loose comfortable clothing and low heeled shoes
- Bring with you a list of all prescribed medications, plus the names of any over the counter medications you are taking
- Do not bring any valuables with you
Note:
Arrange to have a person collect you after the procedure. For safety reasons, Western Day Surgery does not allow patients to find their own way home.
For children
It is suggested that you bring a special toy or a small quiet game which they enjoy.
